School System SAD 25

SAD 25 is the consolidation effort between the same four area towns that comprise UVEC. Built in 1965, new buildings have been added since to house the Senior High School students, just across the road from the younger students. The current enrollment if 550 is served by 55 professional staff members and 45 support staff members. At present 80% of graduates seek higher education.

While select college-level courses are offered locally, any course given by the University of Maine System (anywhere in the state) is available at University of Maine's Outreach Center just forty minutes away. Workshops on post-secondary educational opportunities in Maine are conveniently given locally upon request, to address financial as well as other college concerns.

Katahdin High School's Adult Education program provides a broad range of opportunities from High School Equivalency, Vocational, College and Personal Enrichment courses.
